Southern Railway has announced the cancellation and diversion of several train services on December 2, 2024, due to the suspension of Bridge 452 between Vikravandi and Mundiyampakkam and water levels rising above the danger mark.

- Chennai Egmore - Karaikudi Pallavan Express (12605)
- Chennai Egmore - Tirunelveli Vande Bharat Express (20665)
- Chennai Egmore - Madurai Vaigai Express (12635)
- Madurai - Chennai Egmore Vaigai Express (12636)
- Tirunelveli - Chennai Egmore Vande Bharat Express (20666)
Trains Diverted or Short-Terminated:
- Kakinada Port - Pondicherry Express (17655) terminated at Chengalpattu.
- Kacheguda - Pondicherry Express (17655) terminated at Chengalpattu.
- Kanniyakumari - Chennai Egmore Express (12634) diverted via Villupuram and Katpadi, skipping stops at Tindivanam, Melmaruvathur, Chengalpattu, Tambaram, and Mambalam.
- Madurai - Chennai Egmore Pandian Express (12638) diverted via Villupuram and Katpadi, skipping Chengalpattu, Tambaram, and Mambalam.
