The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced plans to construct a 6-lane high-level road between Kilambakkam and Mahindra City on GST Road, covering 18.4 km. The project, estimated to cost ₹3,500 crore, will enhance connectivity and ease traffic congestion.
With existing flyovers between Tambaram and Vandalur, the new construction will begin from Kilambakkam. Entry and exit lanes will be built at three key locations: Ayyanchery Junction, Kattankulathur, and Singaperumal Temple. This initiative aims to improve traffic flow and provide smoother access for commuters.
