How many are aware of the fact that skin is the largest organ of our body?

Not only would our skin act as a shield against change in the environment but it would also showcase our internal health. The way our skin would look and feel would depend on hydration, absorption of nutrients and foods we consume etc. Truth is that if we have sudden flare ups, acne etc on the skin, then it would be mostly due to the diet. There are chances of getting acne etc when we eat wrong food combinations. We could get skin problems when we eat certain foods together due to poor digestion.

How eating wrong food combinations can lead to skin problems?

The wrong food combinations could worsen our skin conditions. It must be noted that gut health has a direct impact on our skin health. We could get unwanted reactions in us when we consume wrong food combinations. Undigested metabolic waste would be formed in the gut by eating incompatible foods. Our gut lining would be disrupted due to the release of certain gases caused when undigested metabolic waste begins to rot or ferment etc. Point is that the toxins would leak into the bloodstream and would settle under the skin resulting in skin flare ups, acne etc.

Please avoid these food combinations:

Fruits and dairy combination:

The experts have made it clear that fruits must not be consumed together with dairy products. It is worthy to note that most fruits are citric in nature with low pH level while dairy products are neutral. Consuming them would lead to coagulation of milk and breakdown would occur leading to skin based issues and digestion based issues etc.

Fruits with grains combination:

Never combine fruits with grains as they could slow our digestion.  There are chances of getting issues like bloating, indigestion etc in us.

Heated honey:

Do not consume heated honey as it could change its beneficial properties.  It is good to opt for simple food combinations that would help in digestion and lower skin irritations etc.

Foods to consume for sake of skin health:

Antioxidants rich foods like fruits and vegetables etc would protect our skin cells from damage. Truth is that pollution and stress would accelerate ageing in us leading to wrinkles etc.

We must consume foods rich in Vitamin n C for collagen production that would keep our skin firm. Premature ageing of skin can be avoided by consuming foods like lemons, tomatoes etc.

Consuming vitamin E rich foods like almonds, avocados, nuts etc would safeguard our skin from harmful UV radiations from the sun. Intake of pine nuts, sunflower oil or corn oil would also be good.

We could get acne and premature ageing if we have poor selenium levels in us. It is noteworthy that selenium would neutralise free radicals that can damage skin and would protect skin from UV radiations etc.  Foods like brown rice, lentils etc rich in selenium would be superb.

Our skin tone, hydration etc would be maintained by omega 3 fatty acids and omega 6 fatty acids etc. It is good to consume foods like flax seeds, chia seeds etc to avoid acne and plus consuming these foods would also help our skin to glow.
