If you are using the BSNL network and finding it difficult while trying to contact your families and friends, then you are not alone!!

The BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited users in Chennai are unhappy now due to poor connectivity and frequent call drops.

It is now revealed that BSNL has not completed the installation of the tower. This installation was supposed to have been completed by December 2024 itself. In highly important locations in Chennai such as T. Nagar, Greams Road etc, BSNL network is poor now and the residents are suffering.

According to Mr. V. Sathiyabalan, former telecom advisory member it was clear that even digital payments like Gpay were not possible. He spoke about how several complaints were raised but still BSNL hasn`t taken any action regarding the poor connectivity.

Many residents who shifted from other private telecommunication companies to BSNL (when the rates were increased) are now regretting because of poor connectivity. The residents could switch back to other private telecom operators but it would take another 3 months. He concluded that BSNL should take measures to rectify the connectivity problem. It is really shocking to mention that incoming and outgoing calls are a problem now and this inspite mobile showing full signal.

It was later brought to light by a 70 year old resident in Chennai that he has been staying alone and he doesn`t get connections when his kids call him from abroad. He spoke about how even if there was connectivity the call drops within a few minutes. He concluded that he wanted to continue with BSNL but if the issues were not rectified then he would switch over to another network.

The installation of the 4G tower was supposed to be carried out by TCS. It must be taken into account that recently the GM of BSNL Mr. Sunil Kumar Singhal wrote to TCS regarding the operational issues of the 4G network.

It was mentioned by an official from BSNL that currently around 1000 towers have been installed. He added that the deadline cannot be confirmed as works are getting delayed because of the equipment shortage.
