PAN Card is required nowadays for many applications/procedures - for an opening bank savings account, for filing Income Tax returns, etc.
Parentally, there are procedures to obtain a new PAN card or get a replacement for the lost/misplaced PAN card. Here is a procedure to obtain a replacement PAN card in case the original is lost/misplaced:
- Foremost step: Link the PAN card with your telephone number and the email id.
- Visit the official website of the Central Department of Income Tax: https://www.tin-nsdl.com. Click the option: Report of your PAN),
- ON the new screen which has appeared, fill up the details of your PAN number, Aadhar number, and Date of Birth.
- Next, fill in the captcha code particular and then click the option - ‘submit’. Further, a payment of Rs. 50 is to be made for obtaining a replacement PAN card.
- In case the replacement PAN card needs to be sent to a foreign country address, Rs. 959 is to be paid.
- Subsequently, fill up the details of the cell phone number while applying first for the PAN card and your e-mail id. Entering either cell-phone number OR email id is sufficient. Now, you would have received the OTP (One time Password) on your cell number as SMS or e-mail. (Please note that there are separate procedures in case the cell-phone number or e-mail id needs to be changed).
- After this, once the payment is made, the duplicate PAN card would be downloaded. You can take the same in pdf format. Further, this would also be sent to your address.
- At the same time, a link for taking a copy of the replacement PAN card would be sent to your cell-phone and email id.
- This link can always be used later to download PAN CARD replacement.
