A Pass with bar-coding is soon to be issued to the devotees entering Lord Arunchaleswarar Temple in Thiruvannamalai!

Tamil Nadu Government Deputy Superintendent (DSP) of Police, Shylendra Babu has announced that during the grand Deepam festival at Thiruvannamalai Lord Arunchaleswarar Temple, a pass with Bar-ccding will be issued to the devotees to enter the temple!

 On the 5th Night of the famous and grand Deepam Festival of Thirukkarthigai Deepam at the Lord Arunchaleswarar temple in Thiruvannamalai, the deities of  Lord Murugan with His Consorts Valli and Deivayanai, Lord Annamalaiyar (Arunchaleswarar) with His Consort Unnamulai Amman, were carried to the THierukkalyana Mandapam. The deities were specially adorned and Deeparadhanai was performed!

Thousands of devotees attended and had Darshan and prayed!

As regards the safety/security Activities during the festival, Thiruvannamalai District Collector Murugesh, Superintendent of Police Karthikeyan, and Temple Joint Commissioner Ashokkumar had a detailed review, survey and monitoring, shared later with the press reporters:

"It is expected that over 30 lakhs devotees will participate in the Deepam THirvizha! Security arrangements have been made accordingly! Of the 4major roads leading to Thiruvannamalai, check-posts have been set up and the vehicles passing are checked.

Car Parking facilities have been arranged in 52 locations! It is expected that 12000 buses will arrive here on this grand occasion of the Deepam Festival!

Under the leadership of Inspector General Kannan, a squad of 12000 Police Staff including 4 DIGs, and 27 SPs has been deployed for safety monitoring!

DEVOTES WILL BE A PASS WITH BAR CODING!

THOSE CARRYING FAKE PASSES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED INSIDE!

Arrangements have been made such that the devotees will have a smooth Darshan on this occasion without any hardships!

For safety purposes, details of the visiting foreigners and the local residents have been gathered.

In order to prevent any incidents of theft, Police Staff for Crime Prevention from 38 Districts have been deployed here.

Further, 500 latest high-tech surveillance cameras have been installed in various locations.

Facilities have been made for the police to identify criminals through a special App on their cell phones and also, and arrangements have been made for women to visit with full safety!

Also, safety arrangements have been made for the VIPs (Very Important and prominent persons and celebrities) to visit.

For entering the temple, a pass will be given through the Hindu Endowment Board Department.

None will be allowed to enter the temple without the required passes and permissions. The persons entering without a pass from the concerned department senior officials will not be allowed as well!"

When the reporters enquired whether the Governor of Tamil Nadu will visit Thiruvannamalai, he replied that this cannot be answered at the current moment!
