As if the Covid-19 clusters in IIT-Madras are not enough to create fears in the Chennai public, a new Covid-19 cluster has been identified now near Chennai.
In Chengalpet, a private medical college is the place where a new Covid-19 cluster has been found out now. From 2nd May to 5th of May 2022, Sri Satya Sai Medical College hostel had as many as28 Coronavirus positive cases. This is now making many to worry more.
The spread of Covid-19 infection has been brought under control now and this was as per the superintendent of the medical college, Dr. Sundararajan.Saturation tests have been carried out and around 600 samples were tested yesterday.
On Friday, the health secretary of TN Mr. J. Radhakrishnan and Mr. Rahul Nath, Chengalpet collector made their presence felt in this medical college. It is worthy to note that on 2nd May 2022, just 7 students tested positive for Coronavirus infection in this medical college. On 4th May, as many as 19 students tested positive. It is good to note that the students now are stable and have just mild symptoms. It is known that the Covid-19 cases have been under control now in Chennai and in Tamil Nadu due to the efforts taken by the TN government.
