The state government of Tamil Nadu has announced Coronavirus as an infectious virus. It has been initiating various activities to prevent the coronavirus spread.
Accordingly, it has released the set of rules and regulations and guideline, named - ‘Covid -19 Rules 2020’.
The Director of General Health Department, the Director of Medical Education, the Joint Director, Assistant Directors and district collectors have all been appointed as officers.
These persons will have to monitor the persons arriving from foreign countries and the persons with symptoms and suspected continuously and submit a report to the State Government of Tamil Nadu.
Information regarding persons who have returned from abroad in the last 24 days to the nearest hospital, state-level control centre and the Director of the Public Health Department.
As per the rules, all hospitals must set up special coronavirus wards. They have to isolate the patients with coronavirus and treat them separately. The blood samples of these patients must be sent for a test through the district coordinating officer.
They should inform the No privately operated test centres are authorized to test these blood samples.
If coronavirus is detected in a section, that section should be sealed immediately. The public must not be allowed to enter/leave that section. The government offices and schools in this locality must declare holidays and remain closed. Public meetings must be banned. Vehicles should not be allowed to operate.
Continuous monitoring must be adopted in the locality. If any other new activities are to undertaken, they may be done after duly informing the Department of General health and Disease Prevention Department.
The governor, in his report, has mentioned coronavirus has come to be a human-threatening preposition!
