The Tamil Nadu State Minister for health, Vijayabhaskar, has insisted that all private hospitals must set up special coronavirus wards in their hospitals.
The minister shared with the press in this regard:
There are large numbers of people who are getting treated in the government hospitals suspected with the coronavirus symptoms. In this situation, the Tamil Nadu Government has suggested that the private hospitals must also set up special coronavirus ward for treatment.
Treatment to the patients will be given in the special wards in private hospitals will be under the Chief Minister’s Insurance Cover Scheme. If the private hospitals come with proposals to set up high-quality test laboratories, the state government would grant permission for the same.
In the special wards in the government general hospitals, 32 persons with coronavirus symptoms have been admitted and are under treatment.
