The 10th & 12th Standards Public Examinations for the students studying under ICSE syllabus (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) have been postponed!
As such, the Public Examinations had already commenced and were in progress. Now, with the drastic advent of coronavirus and the associated preventive measures, these public examinations now stand postponed!
Coronavirus has been spreading rapidly in India! Both the central and state governments have initiated various preventive activities to control this. Subsequently, as a precautionary step, vacation has been declared for all academic institutions.
In this situation, the examinations have also to be postponed. In this regard, the 10th & 12th Standards Public Examinations for the CBSE syllabus students have already been postponed though in part progress. With this, the public examinations of the students of 10th & 12th standards studying under ICES syllabus have also been postponed!
ICES (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) are a set-up similar to CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). These syllabi are followed in several schools all over Indi on the basis of ‘international syllabuses’.
Subsequently, the 10th Standard Public Examinations are known as ICSE examinations and the public examinations for 12th Standard are known as ISC examinations. It has now been announced that these 2 public examinations are being postponed due to the coronavirus prevention activity programmes.
In other words, the examinations as per the time-table issued to have been conducted today (Thursday, 19th March) onwards until 31st December are being postponed.
As per the prepared time schedule, ICSE (for 10th Standard) public examinations were to have been completed on 30th March and ISC (12th Standard) public examinations were to have been completed on 31st March.
Presently, with orders for closure of all academic institution on account of the coronavirus prevention activities, it has been announced that these 2 public examinations stand postponed until 31st March. They have announced that the new dates for the left-out examinations will be announced later!
