A notification released by the central minister for consumer affairs Ram Vilas Paswan mentions:
Sanitizers are being used in large amounts as one of the devices to protect the public from coronavirus infection. In this situation, the prices of the masks and sanitizers are being fixed.
Accordingly, the maximum price of a200 ml sanitizers should be Rs. 100. Further, the masks are to be sold at a maximum price of Rs. 10.
These prices must be maintained until June!’
Earlier, the central government has added the mask and sanitizer in the list of essential items.
