In Chennai, vaccination to be available at doorsteps for those above 45 age

You need not go far to get yourself vaccinated against Covid-19 infection!!
Truth is that vaccine jabs would be available at the doorsteps also. From Saturday onwards, GCC has opened bulk registration for vaccination for resident welfare associations, big companies, non-governmental organisations or NGOs etc.
It is now brought out that if a person lives in an apartment complex in Chennai that has got more than 100 people above the age of 45 who need vaccinations then the jab could be had at the doorsteps. The civic body has circulated a form and it would be collecting details of a nodal person, number of persons to be vaccinated plus the organisation or community and the preferred location for vaccination etc. As per a GCC officer, enough vaccines are available now and more would be coming soon. Information is that GCC would bring its staff and vaccines to the preferred locations and conduct the drive in case there are more than 100 persons.
Point is that if there are less than 100 persons to get vaccinations then the drive would be organised at a PHC run by the civic body. The GCC is now of the view that by vaccination only normalcy could be brought back in Chennai. It is known that in the first phase GCC had prioritised vaccinations for the frontline workers and essential services providers. Point is that the vaccinations would be arranged accordingly. It is now said that GCC wants atleast 30000 persons to get vaccinated every day.
