Getting vaccinated is the only solution available now to prevent deaths due to the Coronavirus infection. The vaccination for Covid-19 infection has been made mandatory.

On Friday, 19th November 2021, the Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine made Covid-19 vaccination a must for those who visit public places.

Dr. T.S. Selvavinayagam, director of public health and preventive medicine has written a letter to all the deputy directors of health services and GCC. In the letter it was mentioned that the order was to ensure the people aware of being infected should not expose anyone by visiting public places like cinema theatres, markets, assembly, entertainment spaces, schools, colleges, hostels, hotels, shops, factories or other places. It is clear that these public places must be occupied only by those who are vaccinated.

The owners of such public places have been given instructions by the Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine to inform the public that only those who have got vaccinated would be allowed to enter such places. It must not be forgotten that on 13th March 2020 Tamil Nadu had declared Covid infection as a notified disease under the TN Public Health Act 1939. Truth is that regulations have been put in place to check the transmission rate of Coronavirus.
