Of late, the Omicron variant of Coronavirus has been creating huge fears in many people across the world. There has been a gradual rise in Omicron cases in India now.
On Monday, Tamil Nadu had 657 new or fresh Covid-19 cases and by this the total of Covid-19 cases in the state went to 2736046. Chennai district reported as many as114 cases and it was the highest and was followed by Coimbatore district with 101 cases. Erode district has 53 cases and other districts in Tamil Nadu reported less than 50 cases.
Point is that just 3 districts in Tamil Nadu have not got more than 50 cases. 0.7percent is TPR in Tamil Nadu now. Coimbatore and Namakkal recorded TPR of 1.3% and Krishnagiri and The Nilgiris recorded TPR of 1.2%.
Totally, there were 12 deaths in Tamil Nadu due to this rapidly spreading Coronavirus and out of those 7 deaths were reported in the government hospitals and the rest 5 deaths in the private hospitals.
Till now in Tamil Nadu, as many as 36624 persons have lost their lives due to Coronavirus infection. From various hospitals in Tami Nadu, as many as 702 persons got discharged after getting cured from this infection. In the last 24 hours, 100085 samples were tested in Tamil Nadu.
