Chennai to Get 25 More Mudhalvar Marundhagam Pharmacies

Following the inauguration of Mudhalvar Marundhagam at 39 locations in Chennai, the city council has approved setting up 25 more pharmacies to expand the Chief Minister’s pharmacy program.
The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has identified commercial buildings in areas like Ambattur, Arumbakkam, Anna Nagar, and Vadapalani for these pharmacies. The Triplicane Town Cooperative Society has been granted permission to establish them, with spaces provided on a rental basis. The rent will increase by 15% every three years.
Meanwhile, the Chennai Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority (CUMTA) has approved a vehicle parking policy in Anna Nagar, setting charges at ₹20 per hour for off-street parking and ₹40 per hour for on-street parking.
