Traffic Diversion Announced for CMRL Phase-II Work in Panagal Park Area
The Greater Chennai Traffic Police has announced traffic diversions in view of the ongoing CMRL Panagal Park Metro Station Phase-II construction work. The diversions will be implemented on a trial basis for seven days, from 25th November 2024 to 1st December 2024.
Key Changes in Traffic Flow
1. Restrictions on Vehicles:
- Vehicles traveling from Thyagaraya Road along Sivagnanam Street towards Venkatanarayana Road will be restricted.
- Instead, vehicles must proceed straight on Thyagaraya Road and take Thanikachalam Road to reach Venkatanarayana Road.
2. Access for Local Commuters:
- Vehicles can travel to and from Sivagnanam Street via Thyagaraya Road to JYM Kalyana Mandapam, ensuring convenience for local residents.
Motorists are requested to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with the temporary measures for the smooth execution of the metro work.
