Important news about the Inauguration of renovated Marina Beach Library!!

Guess what? We are now talking about the renovated version of Marina Beach library in Chennai. Sound`s incredible right!!
On Wednesday, 16th of April, the deputy chief minister of TN Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin grabbed many eyeballs when he inaugurated the renovated Marina Beach library in Chennai. It must be taken into note that this library has about 7500 books.
At an amount of Rs 38.40 lakhs, this library has been renovated and the library has been provided with air-conditioning facility also under the Chennai Municipal Library Commission from the library funds available with the Directorate of Public Libraries of the School Education Dept.
After 19 long years in 2023, the education dept has reconstituted the state library committee and the Chennai Municipal Library Commission. There are 15 members present in the committee and 9 members in the commission.
To inculcate the learning habits in the kids at a young age, a comic corner has been set up in this library and it would have illustrated story books. There are also rare books present in the library that would provide valuable information about Chennai city. The official press note mentioned the presence of as many as 1337 members. As many as 9 bibliophiles have donated Rs 1000 each on the inauguration day and they were given certificates by the deputy chief minister yesterday.
