On 6th April election took place in the state of TN is well known. The news now is that vote counting would be carried out on Sunday 2nd May 2021 at 8am in as many as 75 centres in TN. It is said that round wise results would be declared every 30 minutes.
Ahead of counting, stringent Covid-19 safety protocols have been put in place and only those who have got 2 doses of vaccination or with negative Covid-19 report would be allowed into the counting centre. Mr. Satyabrata Sahoo, chief electoral officer, spoke about how all arrangements have been made and how surveillance cameras would be installed at each table to monitor the counting process.
Truth is that the outcome of the election would set the tone for the politics in the coming decades in the state of TN as this is the first election held without top 2 influential leaders like Jayalalitha( AIADMK party) and Karunanidhi (DMK party).
