Full Cancellation of EMU Trains on Beach-Tambaram Route Tomorrow (Jan 5); Details Inside
Southern Railway has announced the cancellation of several EMUs on the Chennai Beach-Tambaram section on Sunday, January 7, 2025, due to maintenance work at Tambaram Yard. The work involves launching steel gangway girders for a new Foot Over Bridge (FOB) near Pallavaram and will be carried out between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
All EMUs between Chennai Beach and Tambaram in both directions will be fully cancelled during this period. However, passenger special services will operate between Chennai Beach and Pallavaram (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM) and Chengalpattu and Guduvancheri (11:00 AM to 4:00 PM). EMUs between Chennai Beach and Chengalpattu will run as per schedule from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM in both directions.
