Posted on: 27/Jan/2025 3:37:03 PM

Fraudsters are increasingly using fake calls and emails to impersonate officials from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). These scammers claim that the recipient`s IP address is linked to a cybercrime and threaten legal action unless a fine is paid.

Key Points to Remember:

- The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) will never send emails or make calls requesting payment for fines.
- If you receive such an email, do not respond or make any payments. Instead, report the incident to report.phishing@sbi.co.in for immediate action.
- If you receive such a call or email, immediately report it to 1930 or visit cybercrime.gov.in.

Stay alert and protect your personal information from such fraudulent activities.
