TNSTC Introduces Digital Ticketing in Kanniyakumari District

The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) has launched digital payment options for bus tickets in Kanniyakumari district. Passengers can now pay using GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, or ATM cards in over 700 government buses equipped with electronic ticketing machines.
Operating over 800 buses daily in the Nagercoil zone, TNSTC serves routes within the district and to major destinations in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. While many senior citizens still prefer cash, the digital initiative has been well-received by younger commuters, making travel more convenient and cashless.
