Meteorologist Pradeep John, known for his private weather forecasts, has provided assurance that the emerging low-pressure system in the Arabian Sea will not impact Chennai.

The Indian Meteorological Department has indicated the potential formation of a low-pressure area in the Southeast Arabian Sea. According to a statement from the department, there is atmospheric circulation in the southeastern part of the Arabian Sea extending to the adjacent Maldives. This circulation may lead to the formation of a new low-pressure area in the coming hours, bringing the likelihood of rain to Kerala & Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and Lakshadweep over the next four days.

Despite this, private meteorologist Pradeep John has affirmed that Chennai faces no imminent threat from the developing low-pressure area in the Arabian Sea. In a recent post on his platform, he mentioned the possibility of rain in West and South Tamil Nadu, including a few interior districts, attributed to the new atmospheric pressure in the Arabian Sea. Additionally, he emphasized once again that Chennai, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, and Chengalpattu districts are not at risk.
