Ambitious plans from Tata group now!!
In another 5 years, Tata group will be creating about 5 lakh jobs. It is worthy to note that these jobs would be created in the various important sectors like electric vehicles or EVs, semiconductors, solar equipment etc. This plan has been announced by Chairman of Tata group, Mr. N. Chandrasekaran.
The main objective behind this ambitious plan is to make the Tata group bolster its presence in these key areas plus to contribute towards the Indian economy. Currently, there are one million persons working for Tata group and TCS or Tata Consultancy Services contributes about 60percent of workforce and is the first. Point is that Tata Steel is second with as many as 78321 employees.
Not only the new employees would be restricted to just hardware industries but they would also go into other fields like aviation, retail, hospitality and technology services etc.
The chairman spoke about how he was happy and excited regarding the convergence of economic opportunity and social progress in AI or artificial intelligence and manufacturing.
New manufacturing facilities:
It must be taken into note that Tata group recently began constructing 7 manufacturing facilities and it includes the Indian first semiconductor fab at Dholera in the state of Gujarat in west India. Tata group is also constructing a semiconductor plant in the state of Assam in north India.
Tata groups profit:
It is learnt that the Tata groups combined revenue went above 165 billion USD in FY 2024 and net profit exceeded 10billion USD. There are as many as 26 companies on the bourses with a combined market cap of 373 billion USD.
Tribute to the great person Mr. Ratan Tata:
The Tata group chairman Mr. N. Chandrasekaran paid a heartfelt tribute to Mr. Ratan Tata in his year-end note. The chairman has mentioned that Tata group has lost an irreplaceable role model and leader and he had lost a cherished mentor and a friend.
The chairman Mr. N. Chandrasekar was of the view that AI based breakthroughs in healthcare and mobility could help humanity as a whole.
