On Wednesday evening, everyone in the Citi Centre mall stands still, when looking after the sanctimonious phase of the customary dance in the ground floor. Nearly seventy five dancers, together with quite a lot of senior dance entertainers involved themselves in this dance crowd.

One among the dance termed, ‘Ganesha Kauthuvum’, which is the outstanding performance by the dancers as facet of International Dance Day Festivities.

People who peeped out of the Inox theatre, at 5.30 pm were stunned and got magnetized by the music of this event and they were rushed with their mobile cameras on catching the wonderful performances of the dancers who aligned in single rows and rhythming their feet at the same time.

This is the first time in the universe, proudly said by Padmalaksshme Suresh, a dance teacher who participated in this event. For International Dance Day, as part of the Association of Bharatanatyam Artistes of India (ABHAI), Chennai, we thought of doing something different and there crops the idea of giving a performance in the mall, she added.

We wish Bharatanatyam to arrive at everyone, and thus we prefer a place where there would be a mass, she added.

This program was structures by Chitra Visveswaran, president of ABHAI, and synchronized by senior artists like Parvathy Ravighantasala, Revathy Ramachandran, Sukanya Ravinder, Padmalaksshme Suresh, Priya Murle, Binesh Mahadevan and Uma Nambudripad.
