Intake of passport applications increased by RPO

The Regional Passport office in Chennai has augmented the daily intake of applications from 1850 to 2,080. Now Passport Seva Kendra, Saligramam, would be handling 1,300 normal applications per day while Passport seva Kendra in Aminjikarai would be handling 400 applications (300 normal and 100 tatkal). The passport seva Kendra in Tambaram would be handling 380 applications (300 normal and 80 tatkal).
Meanwhile, the walk-in appointment would continue for senior citizens and physically challenged in Passport Seva Kendra in Saligramam and for infants below three years in Aminjikarai.
