Vegetable prices fall in Tamil Nadu!

As there has been excellent growth and yield of vegetable crops this year, their prices are falling.
 
During the North-east monsoon season, there were heavy rains till 1st week of January. As a result, there was an increase in acreage where vegetable were grown . Harvesting is under full swing.
 
As a result, all wholesale vegetable outlet in Tamil Nadu – Koyambedu, Chennai, Dindigul – Ottanchathiram, Salem – Thalaivasal,and the centres at Madurai, Thirunelveli, Nagarcoil, and Coimbatore have received double the quantity of vegetables as compared to the he normal quantity.
 
The fall in price details in Rs. Per kg:
 
Tomato-22 to 8, Okra (Lady finger)-28 to 14, Broad beans- 34 to 16, Peerkankai- 24 to 14, snake gourd- 20 to 10, radish- 15 to 6, bitter gourd- 30 to 20, bottle gourd-10 to 5, carrot- 45 to 20, beetroot- 40 to 26, beans- 48 to 22, cabbage-26 to 20, and ginger- 65 to 44
