Summer has been truly intensifying in Tamil Nadu with each passing day!

The most intense part of summer, known as ‘Agni Nakshatram`, is scheduled only in the next month. However, the current weather seems to have reached that level already.

Meteorological officials explained that with an ultra-clear sky totally devoid of any clouds, the intensity of heat is felt much more. However, this will be abated a bit in the coastal  areas where sea breeze will set in the afternoons.

However, in districts deprives of coastal breeze possibility, the intensity of heat will be more severe with passing days.

Salem recorded 100 Degrees yesterday (Wednesday, 18th March).

Vellore also recorded 100 Degrees.

Karur, Paramathi, and Dharmapuri recorded 99 Degrees.

Trichy recorded 98 Degrees. Madurai recorded 97 Degrees. Coimbatore & Palayamkottai recorded 96 Degrees. Chennai recorded 95.36 Degrees.

With each passing day of increasing summer intensity, it is expected that the temperatures may cross 110 Degrees during ‘Agni Nakshatram’, especially in the districts deprived of the possibility of coastal breeze.
