Chennai Corporation budget to be presented

The budget for 2015- 2016 will be presented by Chennai Corporation today. Mayor Saidai S Duraisamy will present the budget. The civic body is expected to present a budget of around Rs 5,000 crore but it is unlikely to include major infrastructure projects because many previous announcements have not taken off. The corporation is, however, likely to give a thrust to roads, health, education and storm water drains in the outlying areas.
