Koyambedu Wholesale Vegetable Market: Sweet Limes sold at Rs. 30/- per kg!

With the onset of summer throughout Tamil Nadu, the intensity of heat is being felt all over. As a result a large number of shops selling musk melon & sweet lime juices, water melon and sugarcane juice have sprung up all over!
The sales of sweet lime has picked up considerably at Koyambedu wholesale vegetable market.
The president of the Chennai Koyambedu Fruit Traders’ Association, Mr. Srinivasan, informed that sweet limes are currently being sold at Rs. 25/- to Rs. 30/- per kg.
With the intensity of summer increasing, the price of sweet lime also will increase. Compared to the first lot of sweet limes which have already arrived and are a bit sour more than sweet, the second lot of supply of sweet limes will sweeter.
