April & May are the summer months for Tamil Nadu! People will have to face the hardship of oppressive heat throughout this period.
The most oppressive part of the summer, known as ‘kathiri veyil’ or ‘Agni nakshatram’, started yesterday, Monday, 4th May.
The oppression was somewhat less during the early part of the day. However, it increased gradually and was at its peak by the noon.
The 1st day of Agni Nakshatram was recorded with the temperature of 94.28 Degrees in Chennai.
The highest temperature in Tamil Nadu was recorded in Trichy with 100.94 Degrees.
