Heavy rainfall in Western Ghats in the next 24 hours

Chennai Meteorological Centre has mentioned that there will be heavy rain on the footfalls of Tamil Nadu Western Ghats in the next 24 hours.
S R Ramanan of Chennai Meteorological Centre while speaking to the media said, “There are no chances of dust storm in Tamil Naadu. Due to higher air temperature, there is delay in setting of sea breeze. Because of this, more heat can be experienced. Moreover the temperature of the land is high which results in a higher heat convection. There will be heavy rains in the next 24 hours in Tamil Nadu. Heavy rains will occur in Western Ghats foot falls. As far as Chennai is concerned, the climate will be cloudy and the temperature will be less.”
