TN government awards list

Winners of awards distributed by the government in the name of Thiruvalluvar, Thandhai Periyar and others are announced.
- The Thiruvalluvar award will be provided to V.C. Sandhosham
- Thandhai periyar award is announced for V.R. Vengan of Dharmapuri district
- Annal Ambedcar award is for Ponnusamy
- Perarignar Anna award is for professor Dr Farvat Regina Papa
- Kamarajar award is for Doctor R. Venkatasamy
- Mahakavi Bharathiyar award is for poet Ponnadiyaan
- Pavendhar Bharadhidhasan award is for Dr V. Renukadevi
- Tamil Thendral Thiru V. Ka award is for Dhinamani editor Vaidhyanadhan
- Muthamizh kaavalar Visunadham award is for R. K. Rajaram
These awards, gold medal, and a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh will be distributed at the centenary day of Chennai university that is scheduled for 16th of this month, according to a press release by the government.
