Mahavir Jayanti: Meat shops to remain closed in Chennai

The Chennai Corporation has ordered all meat shops selling beef, chicken and mutton not to function on April 19th on account of Mahavir Jayanti.
It has also prohibited processed meat sales in supermarkets and shopping malls.All vendors have been asked to cooperate.
