Chennai Police Department: Change of commissioner

Mr. Ashutosh Shukla has been appointed as the commissioner of the Chennai Police Department.
A brief on the press release by the state government`s Chief Secretary Apoorva Varma:
The current commissioner of the Police Department, Chennai, T K Rajendran has been transferred and Mr. Ashutosh Shukla, who has been functioning as Additional DGP of Enforcement is appointed as the new commissioner of the Chennai Police Department.
Mr. T K Tripathi, Additional DGP of Law and Order Department, is transferred and Mr. Shailendra Babu, who was functioning as Additional DGP in Coast Guard.
