The first meeting of the newly elected Legislative Assembly is scheduled to be conducted tomorrow (Wednesday, 25th May). A M P Jamaludeen, the secretary of the Legislative Assembly, released this news.
232 elected MLAs will be sworn in. The provisional leader of the assembly, S Chemmalai will administer the oath for the swearing in.
It has been told that the new MLAs must bring their election certificate while coming for the swearing in ceremony.
Jamaludeen has announced that the elections to the post of Speaker and deputy speaker will be conducted at 10.00 AM on 3rd June.
As this is the 1st meeting, governor K Rosayya will deliver the inaugural address. This is expected to be during the 1st week of June.
After this, the Financial statement of the Tamil Nadu state government for the current financial year will be presented. Approval assembly will be sought for the expenses proposed by the different departments.
