Senior citizens can apply for Free bus pass in MTC

MTC officials explained that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa inaugurates the scheme of free MTC bus travel for all senior citizens. As per this scheme, Identity Cards with photographs and tokens for the months of February, March, April, and May were issued to citizens of over 60 years of age.
For the senior citizens who already received tokens, the tokens for the months of June, July, and August are now being issued. These can be obtained from special counters.
For those who want to apply fresh, they can visit the nearest MTC office and submit copies of the family (ration) card, and photographs with proof and get the ID and tokens for free MTC bus travel.
