Frequent power cuts make nights nightmarish

In the recent times there are frequent power cuts in the nights at many parts of Chennai especially at Kodungaiyur, Egmore, Perambur and East Tambaram. Because of this children and elderly people are put into great distress.
Apart from this, there are frequent power cuts in government and private offices. Because of this office works have been greatly affected. The similar situation prevails in the e-service centres and because of this the public are not able to get the required certificates and other services. Merchants are also adversely affected by these power cuts.
Staffs of electricity board are saying that these power cuts occur mainly due to transformers tripping because of the frequent usage of air conditioners by people.
