Anjuman-E-Himayath-E-Islam completes 125 years

The Anjuman-e-Himayath-e-Islam (AHI), an Exceptional Social, Charitable and Educational organization has completed 125 years of yeomen service to the community particularly the poor and downtrodden.
 
Addressing the Media, Mr. T. Rafeeq Ahmed, President, AHI said, The journey so far has been very good and the organization has played a significant role in helping the needy.
 
Today, the Anjuman-e-Himayath-e-Islam campus is a bee-hive of activity. The sprawling renovated Boys and Girls Homes house 400 boys and girls each with immaculately maintained living quarters, HEALTH CENTRE state-of-the-art kitchen and stores, well stocked library and leisure activity rooms etc., that spurs the growth and imbibes creativity and values which are in sync with the Islamic VALUES..
 
Mr. G.S.K. Masud, Hon. Secretary, AHI said, The educational needs of our children are met with 3 schools, a Primary, a Higher Secondary Matriculation, and a CBSE Higher Secondary School, all within the Anjuman campus. The total strength of these 3 schools is over 1800 with day scholar students from outside also studying, apart from our own children of the Anjuman. The high academic standards that are being maintained at the schools has resulted in 100 percent results at the Higher Secondary level in both schools for the past few years.
 
Mr. Azeez Akthar, Hon. Treasurer, AHI said, The brochure given provides valuable information and statistical reports in a nutshell on an overview of the Anjuman and its diverse activities.
 
Mr. Ameenur Rehman, Chairman, Celebrations committee said, We expect more than 3000 people to participate everyday in this 3 day extravaganza. Care has been taken to ensure that everybody who comes goes back with more knowledge and more important happily and safely.
 
To mark this momentous occasion, the Management Committee has drawn up a 3 day program which includes:
 
29.07.2016 (Friday)
  • H.E. Dr. K Rosaiah, Governor of TN will inaugurate the celebrations – 7.15 pm

30.07.2016 (Saturday)
  • Education Summit, 10.30 am onwards
  • Ladies Session - `Empowerment of Women`, 3.30pm onwards
Session led by Mrs. Qudsia Gandhi, IAS (retd.). Panelists include, Mrs. Preetha Reddy, MD, Apollo Hospitals Group and Mrs. Sumaiya Naumani, Principal, Madras-e-Kathijathul Kubra. 

Religious session
  • Role of a muslim in a diverse society – 7.00 to 9.00 pm
Mr. Mohammed Hashim, Chairman, KH group of companies will preside. Dr. Farida Khanam, Islamic scholar & Associate Editor, Spirit of Islam & Moulana Mahmood Madani, General Secretary, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, New Delhi, will be the speakers.
Ø  Grand All India Mushaira (30th July) - 10.30pm onwards.

A grand ALL INDIA MUSHAIRA will feature eminent poets from all over the country.  Well known poet Dr. Prof. Waseem Barelvi will preside.
 
31.07.2016 (Sunday)
  • Cultural programme by students of the Anjuman and Al Hira schools - 10.30am onwards.
  • Valedictory Function – 12.15pm onwards
Hon`ble Justice F. M. Ibrahim Kalifulla, Judge, Supreme Court of Indiaia will be the chief guest. Mr. U. Mohammad  Khalilullah,  President,  Muslim Educational Association of Southern India will preside.
  • Carnival, 2pm onwards
Mr. Shakeel Akthar, IPS, chairman, Police Housing Board Corporation will be the chief guest.
 
Islamic  and  Educational  Exhibition
 
An Islamic and educational exhibition will be formally declared open during the inauagural function on the 29th of July in the evening and will be on display till the close of the celebrations on 31st of July.
