Various programmes including exhibition are being organized on the occasion of 377th Madras Day anniversary from 21st August to 28th August. Historian S. Muthiah who is one of the coordinator of Madras Day programmes said: The founding day of Madras is considered to be August 22, 1639. As a part of the Madras Week this year, there will be 30 talks, 18 heritage walks, seven food walks, seven photo walks and eight nature walks around the city. Over 120 different events will happen in August and September alone.
