EB Bills can be paid with Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes till tonight

TNEB (TANGEDCO) has announced that the electricity bills can be paid by Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes (recently declared as invalid) till tonight (Friday, 11th November).
As soon as the announcement was made regarding the Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes, TNEB gave an extension of time for payment of electricity bills. However, the public had doubts whether the bills can be paid with Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes.
As soon as the central government issued clarifications, TNEB made the latest announcement.

All TANGEDCO bill receipt counters will be functioning till tonight. Bills can be paid through Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes till tonight (11th November).
