On one side there is problem for Sasikala to become chief minister and on the other side top officials appointed by the former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa are resigning. In that way Santha Sheela Nair who was Officer on Special Duty has quit her post.
Earlier Sheela Balakrishnan who was the advisor to the Tamil Nadu government, chief minister’s secretaries K.N Venkataramanan and A. Ramalingam have quit their jobs.
The tenure of Santha Sheela Nair who was vice-chairman of the state planning commission ended last May. At that time Jayalalithaa appointed her as Officer on Special Duty to oversee the special programme implementation of the AIADMK government. Now there is news that she has quit this position. Santha Sheela Nair also headed Expert Committee to examine the demand for continuing Old Pension Scheme. The tenure for this post was over before 40 days. The file was sent to the chief minister’s office to extend her post but no decision has been made.
