Kuvathur to come under Section 144

In Kuvathur area of Kanchipuram district, the Tamil Nadu government has imposed Section 144. In the disproportionate assets case against late former Chief Minister of the state J. Jayalalitha. Sasikala and few others, the Supreme Court has convicted 3 suspects including Sasikala.
As there prevails abnormal and awkward scenario in and around Kuvathur, the district collector has put the entire area between Kalpakkam until Kuvathur Pettai under Section 144.
It is to be remembered that since 5th of February, all AIADMK MLAs in support of Sasikala had been made to stay in Golden Bay Resort in Kuvathur.
