15 Lakhs lorries on strike from today (30th March)

The Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Lorry Owners Federation Mr. Dhanraj, spoke to the press reporters at Namakkal.
He explained that the strike will not be withdrawn until the following demands and a few others are met:
- Withdraw the additional VAT charge
- Withdraw the order on fixing speed limit device in the old lorries
He informed that the lorry strike will be observed as planned in other states like Andhra, Kerala & Karnataka.
Around 4.25 Lakhs lorries in the state of Tamil Nadu and around 15 Lakh lorries in 4 states will not operate from today (Thursday, 30th March).
