Chennai district collector orders to close TASMAC shops for 4 days

The Chennai district collector Anbuselvan has ordered that TASMAC shops, shops selling alcoholic beverages, and bars to remain closed for 4 days on 10th, 11th, 12th, and 15th April on account of the by-election in the R.K Nagar legislative assembly constituency.

By-election in R.K Nagar constituency is scheduled on 12th April.
On this occasion, voting will commence at 10.00 AM. Counting of votes will be in progress till 12.00 midnight on 12th April.
All TASMAC shops and associated bars must remain closed on 15th April.
All shops selling alcoholic beverages with license FL-2 to FL-11 and associated bars must remain closed.
Stringent legal action will be taken on those who violate this order.
