Costly last minute flight bookings of Chennai flights

Numerous Flights from Chennai to other small towns makes travelling very easier and quick option in the time constrained situations. But the last minute booking costs for these kind of flights are very costly now and especially for a holiday month of the year. People going on a vacation or frequent business travelers find the prices of the local flights way too costly.
Flights from Chennai to Mysore, Mangalore, Vizag, Kozhikode and Vijayawada on Sunday and Mondays are in the ranges between Rs 3000 to Rs 7200. This fare of flights are higher than a normal fare to Delhi. Flight connections to various internal cities and towns of India was made easier through flight travel development but the increase in fare will fail to attract more travelers choosing the airway option.
The main reason behind the increased fare is the jet fuel price increase. To the contrary of the holiday season flight ticket prices should have been reduced as the Flight Companies receive huge demand from the people. But the current situation is totally upside down event fixing high prices for the domestic flights from Chennai.
Chennai to Salem flight is a 50 minute travel and the ticket prices were fixed till Rs 11000 a few hours before the flight. Flight fare for Tutucorin was fixed as Rs 6767 that is considered far higher for a regional connecting flight. Regional connections are very important in terms of the development in travel and business affairs of the general public. This kind of hike in fares can reduce the passengers affecting the economic threshold of the airlines.
Reports from various airline said more number of flights will be added as per the demand and measures were taken to reduce the prices of the local flights. Airway passengers suggest the Government not to place the jet fuel price increase in the heads of local flight passengers.
