E-service centre facilities to be available in private internet centres

Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation has decided to introduce the Arasu e-service facilities in the private internet service centres as well.

In the Arasu e-service centres, over 61 services are being provided including the issue of the birth certificate, income certificate, Aadhar card registration, colour voter ID print, etc. Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable Corporation as now taken a decision to introduce these facilities in the private internet service centres as well. This is expected to commence by the end of June.
An official explained in this regard that e-services related to both the state and central government is provided in the e-service centres. So far, over 15 Crores services have been provided. Some private net centres provide some of the government services. However, complaints have been received that higher charges are being collected for this.
Subsequently, an announcement was made regarding the introduction of e-services in the private internet centres. More than 3000 private internet service centres have expressed interest. Presently, a decision has been taken to introduce e-service facility in all the internet centres under the corporations. Accordingly, permission has been given to 580 centres. This is set to commence by the end of June. Permission will be given to commencing this service in the other centres in a gradual manner.
