RPI Director Mahendran Sir

Renowned Tamil film director J. Mahendran had his last breath in the early hours of Tuesday (today). He was recently hospitalized. Official confirmation about his death was noted on Social Media postings by his son John Mahendran.
Recently, on 27th March, the director got admitted with the Apollo Hospitals following his illness post dialysis treatment. He survived on ventilator, say Apollo hospital reports.
In his accolades are movies including Mullum Malarum, Johny, and Nenjathai Killadhey. He has been also involved in acting a lot of films recently including ‘Seethakathi’ starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead, Petta starring Rajinikanth, and Bomerang starring Atharva which is the latest release.
Late Director Mahendran is well known for his exclusively writing for which he was a part of BOFTA (Blue Ocean Film and Television Academy), Chennai. He handles exclusive courses in filmmaking and direction in BOFTA.
Public can pay last respect to the director at his home until 10 am. At 5pm today, funeral would take place.
