High Court in Madras was established in the year 1862 and is the High Court of the state of TN is known. This High Court in north Chennai is making headlines now for a different reason.

It must be noted that there is poor mobile connectivity inside the HC campus and it has been causing issues for the public and for those associated with HC. It is now said that work is going on to erect a mobile tower on the HC campus. Point to be noted is when the HC opens on 3rd June the poor mobile connectivity in this campus would not be there.

The truth is the administration that has taken the responsibility of erecting a mobile phone tower inside the HC campus and this has brought huge happiness on the faces of many lawyers, court staffs,   litigants etc.

It must not be forgotten that in the past the lawyers were heavily dependent on the hard bound books to search details about their case laws. Those times have gone now and inside the HC campus it is common to see lawyers using their mobile phones, tablets and laptops to search for their case laws and produce them before the judges for perusal. Internet has become very essential these days and the absence of internet connectivity inside the HC campus has been creating many issues.

It is important to mention that mobile phones work well inside some court halls and do not pick signals in other court halls. To overcome this issue and to provide a solution, the court administration had decided to erect a mobile phone tower at the HC campus. It was later pointed out by an employee who is involved in this mobile tower erection procures that the work would be completed by this weekend and after that there would be seamless mobile connectivity available inside the HC campus.
