PIU, a new taxi and autorickshaw app launched in Chennai for the sake of public

These days many people belonging to Chennai city use call taxis to reach their places of destinations. It is now said that Chennai would witness huge competition in this call taxi sector. Yesterday, 7th August 2019, PIU a new taxi and autorickshaw app was launched in Chennai and it made huge noises.
This taxi aggregator app was launched by none other than Mr. K.G. Sivadasan Nair who is the chairman and co-founder of Mindmaster Technlogies. All the stakeholders including the commuters, taxi owners and taxi aggregators would be highly benefitted by this PIU app.
He spoke about how this launch would create a win-win situation. It is important to note that this PIU app has already enrolled as many as 3000 commercial cars and it would work with a ‘Fair fare’ policy. He revealed that the commuters would be benefited by ride profit share and drivers would get bigger earnings through minimal charging of commission.
It is superb to mention that the PIU taxi would charge only small percent of commission and this would be totally different to the other call taxi aggregators who charge hefty commission of more than 20 % from their drivers.
Information got is drivers would be able to earn more profit on their rides by paying a nominal annual subscription. Ride profit share would be given to the loyal customers by this new taxi operator and it is said that more than 4 rides in a month would have discounts. The presence of SOS button for the women’s safety is another plus point.
