The Chennai Metro City Police is organising a special grievance camp for that public who had made complaints at the police stations without any follow-up action by the police.
Generally, loads of complaints have been received that the complaints made in the Chennai Metro City Police Stations are not accepted/received properly. CSR or the receipt for the complaint made is also not given by the police station. Further, no action is taken for the complaints accepted as well!
In order to solve this issue, The Chennai Metro City Police Commissioner A. K. Viswanathan conducted a review/consultation meeting with the higher officials of the Police Department a few days ago.
A decision was taken in this meeting to organise a special grievance camp for the public who had complained at the police stations without any response.
Accordingly, these special grievance camps are being organised in 4 places in the Chennai Metro City at 11.30 AM tomorrow (Saturday, 21st September).
In the special grievance camp conducted at Indian Red Cross Society, Egmore Montieth Road, Chennai East Joint Commissioner Sudhakar will receive the complaint petitions from the public. The residents from Triplicane, Anna Salai, Zam Bazaar, Egmore, Nungambakkam, Thousand Lights and Choolaimedu can participate and submit their petitions here.
Joint Police Commissioner Maheswari will receive public petitions at the special grievance camp organised at the Parangimalai Armed Forces Ground from the residents of Meenambakkam, Nandhanambakkam, Sankar Nagar, Medavakkam, Tambaram, Chitlapakkam, Chromepet and the neighbourhood areas.
Joint Police Commissioner Vijayakumari will receive petitions from the public at the special grievance meeting organised at Thirumullaivayal, CTH High Road.
Joint Police Commissioner Kapilkumar C. Saradkar will receive petitions from the public residents from R K Nagar, Korukkuppettai, Tondiarpet, and Washermanpet at the special grievance meeting organised at the Society Hall near Washermanpet Police Station.
As regards the complaints pertaining to Traffic Police, the Higher officials of the Traffic Police Department will receive the public petition from the residents of North Chennai, Red Hills (Senkundram), and the neighbourhood areas at the North Beach Police Station Complex.
In the special grievance camp conducted at the T Nagar Burkitt Road, Srihall Mandapam, the residents of Madippakkam, Selaiyur, Velacherry, Meenambakkam, Theagaraya Nagar, Saidapet, Kumaran Nagar, Valasarawalkam, and the neighbourhood areas can participate and submit their petitions. The Traffic Joint deputy Commissioners will receive ththe petitions/complaints.
The Chennai Metro Police have announced that the above grievance camps will be organised at 11.00 AM tomorrow (Saturday, 21st September).
